Studio G+A

Studio G+A is a Pune-based interdisciplinary design studio that explores architecture, interior design and landscape. It was founded in 2016 by Ar. Gouri Deshpande and Ar. Ammeya Gogate. The studio has completed over twenty projects across various scales and typologies. Over the course of 7 years, Studio G+A has crafted diverse and thoughtful spaces ranging from 300 sqft residential interiors to multi-acre redevelopment projects. Its varied portfolio includes bungalows, apartment interiors, weekend homes, offices, housing projects and more. The firm has received several accolades in the form of awards and publications. It has also been recognised at regional and national levels by multiple platforms within the architectural community. Led by a sensitive design approach, the firm believes in catering to all the stakeholders involved in the project. With this, the studio has emerged with a human-centric approach that is tailored to the contextual needs of every project. The studio aims to chart its growth by exploring new typologies and approaches to design. It strives to create holistic environments which can contribute to its context positively.

Meet the Team

Principal

Gouri Deshpande

Ar. Gouri Deshpande is the co-founder and principal architect at Studio G+A, a contemporary architectural studio in Pune. The studio aims to tailor human-centric design to every client’s varied needs. Born and raised in Pune, Gouri completed her education at Dr. B. N. College of Architecture in 2015. She interned with Prashant Kapadi & Associates in Kolhapur during her bachelor's. After graduating, she gained her formative experience in architecture at Varsha and Deepak Guggari Associates in Pune as a project architect. In 2016, she co-founded Studio G+A along with Ar. Ammeya Gogate. Alongside her practice, Gouri also has teaching experience at Dr. B. N. College of Architecture and VIT’s PVP College of Architecture, where she was a visiting faculty for architectural design for several years. Currently, she is involved in the growing operations of her studio, where she is actively engaged in several projects at a time. As the principal architect, her professional experience encompasses various projects across all scales, such as residential and commercial interiors, weekend homes, and redevelopment projects.

Principal

Ammeya Gogate

Ar. Ammeya Gogate is a Pune-based architect and the principal and co-founder at Studio G+A. The studio works across various scales and typologies and contributes to human-centric practices through its sensitive design philosophy. Hailing from Ratnagiri, Ammeya completed his architectural schooling at VIT’s PVP College of Architecture in Pune. He did his internship at Kanvinde Rai and Chowdhury Architects in New Delhi. After graduating, he worked as a Junior Architect at Navkar Architects in Pune and, after that, as a project architect at Varsha and Deepak Guggari Associates. In 2016, he founded Studio G+A along with Ar. Gouri Deshpande and has been steering the growth of the studio ever since. He also has teaching experience as the visiting faculty for Architectural Design at VIT’s PVP College of Architecture for 4 years. Spearheading the projects at Studio G+A for 7+ years, Ammeya is enthusiastic about the overlap of architecture, interior and landscape disciplines. Along with Gouri, he has worked on 20+ projects ranging from residential interiors to large-scale redevelopment projects.
