The Rustic Rendezvous is a house that interweaves the threads of nostalgic times with the present. Located in an up-and-coming neighbourhood of Pune, this residence is home to a family of four, with a profound appreciation for Indian Art. A twelve by four-foot painting depicting Buddha’s journey towards enlightenment, specially made for this house by the client’s father, led the design process for this project.

Considering the client’s taste and budget, we tried to transform this typical builder-standard apartment by punctuating it with numerous eclectic elements that pay homage to traditional art and craftsmanship.
Holistically, a subtle and cohesive space, this house is abundant with details, each with its own story. A mix of contemporary and historical elements, this artistic abode represents a bespoke blend of vividness and delicacy.
