Window to the Sky is a quaint duplex for a nuclear family located in Karvengar, Pune. After establishing a connection between the two floors, the top floor, around 850 square feet, was converted from a 2-bedroom apartment to the entrance floor of the house. Comprising the skylit living, kitchen, dining area and the twin daughters’ bedroom.

The primary challenge of the project was to summon ample natural light into the house, which was accomplished by means of a skylight over the seating area in the living room. The floor plan features an open layout for the main living spaces. With a muted palette of existing marble flooring, dark wood, fluted glass and tones of grey and white, this house embraces a simplistic and functional design ideology.
